Books and Games

We offer our rooms and houses without television and keep asking our tenants whether it is ok for them. The vast majority confirms our opinion that there are better things to do during their holidays than watching TV. Especially parents of small children, whose share of our "customers" is relatively high, are happy that the kids can not even be tempted.

There is the sea just in front of our door with its variety of life, a lot to be explored at our small beach and between the flat rocks using net and bucket, snorkel and fishing rod. The Pollonia beach with its shady tamarisks and the children's playground is near. And don't forget our boats!

But especially we would like to recommend our collection of BOOKS and GAMES. As Birgit and I feel we are "homini ludentes", pleased sometimes to play games with our guests (word-games or card games like Skat, Doppelkopf, Bridge), it was natural to equip all our rooms and houses with Tavli-games (Greek backgammon), as well as with instructions for the Greek variants Portes, Plakoto and Fevga. In addition we lend all kinds of games, board games and parlour games and also badminton, boccia, or - very popular here in Greece - beach tennis with wooden rackets and a tennis ball.

Over the years, we have accumulated a large number of books (mainly German), which we like to lend our guests and/or exchange for books read. Of course you find good reading lamps in all our rooms.
